oin the dedicated volunteers of the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa who help to make this a spiritual home for all pilgrims and visitors who visit us from across the country, and beyond.
Volunteers are vital to the ongoing life at the Shrine. There are several ways to get involved in the mission and ministry of the Shrine!
We have many areas that need spirit filled volunteers to help our pilgrims feel the love and mercy of our Lord. While the majority of the pilgrims speak English, we do have some who speak other languages such as Polish or French and Spanish. If you speak any of these or any other foreign language, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Our weekends are the busiest and during weekends we need the most help. Some of the areas where we need assistance include, food- serving, crowd control, gift shop, maintenance, clean up and help with the handicapped. Information hosts, and parking lot attendents are also needed.
If you are interested to be invloved in Shrine volunteering. One of our staff members will be happy to meet with you to help you discover the best place to use your gifts to support the mission of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.

Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with children to obtain background checks and clearances. Effective immediately, church or shrine volunteers, especially those involved with children or youth ministry, are requested to complete all background checks and clearances required by Pennsylvania law.
Please follow the links below to get started. Once completed, forms can be uploaded or mailed to the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. It is recommended that you keep a copy for your own records. If you have already obtained background checks for another organization, you may submit copies to the church. If you have questions about the process, please contact our Shrine office at 215 345 0600
PA State Police Criminal Background Check – Click the control number to view your results. Click the “Certification Form” link in the center of the page to view, save and print your official certificate. There is no charge for this background check for volunteers.
PA Child Abuse History Certification – Click “Create Individual Account”. The Keystone Key is a user name you create. Follow the site’s step-by-step instructions for creating a password. Be sure to keep a record of your Keystone Key and Password as you will need them to access your results. You will receive an email from the site when your results are available, within 14 days of submission. There is no charge for this background check for volunteers.
Disclosure Statement – If you have been a Pennsylvania resident for the past 10 consecutive years, please submit this Disclosure Statement in place of fingerprinting.
