It goes by many names: The Holy Eucharist, The Lord’s Supper, the Breaking of Bread, the Holy Sacrifice, Holy Communion, and the Holy Mass. In the Holy Eucharist we experience the changing of bread and wine into the Body and Blood of the Lord. That’s why it is central to our worship as Catholics. All our pastoral activities at the Shrine flow from celebrating daily and Sunday Mass, and they all lead into a full participation in it. In the Eucharist we entrust all our intentions, struggles and prayers, uniting with the Sacrifice of Our Lord.
