Advent Day of Recollection for the OLCZ Youth Group
“Hope is on the way”, was the theme of our Shrine’s Youth Group Advent Day of Recollection, that took place on Friday, December 7th, 2018. It was an evening of prayer, reflection, and many activities for teenagers. The event started with the Vigil Mass of the Immaculate Conception in Our Lady of Czestochowa Chapel. The rest of the activities took place in Wyszynski Hall.
The teens were given a presentation by Susan Middleton and Anita Colahan about Our Lady of Hope, the Red Rosary of Hope, and their ministry to those who are suffering or are in despair. Different prayer stations also helped the youth to reflect on the main themes of Advent season and how they can prepare for Christmas.
The day of recollection ended with the Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament and time for confessions.
