A Lenten Night of Recollection for Teenagers

On Friday, April 12th, Our Lady of Czestochowa Youth Group was hosting a Lenten Night of Recollection for teenager. The theme of the night was “Into the Desert – getting through lent with the Word of God”. Movie Screening at the Shrine - "XL: The Temptation of Christ"

On Sunday afternoon, April 7th, our Shrine was hosting a movie screening of a Douglas James Vail film “XL: The Temptation of Christ” (2019). The screening took place in the Conference Room in Visitor Center and it was proceeded by a talk and presentation by Douglas James Vail, who is also the Director of FaithWorks Pictures. Retreat for the Polish Youth from the Polish Schools in USA

Every year a retreat for Polish Youth from the Polish Schools on the East Coast of the United States is organized at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.  This year’s retreat took place on February 16-17, 2019. Christmas decorations at our Shrine

The exquisite Christmas decorations are displayed at our Shrine every year during the Christmas season. This year they will be up until January 20th, 2019.  A light show of 100,000 outside lights and 8000 inside lights; many locally-purchased Christmas trees standing over 12 feet tall; an outdoor live Nativity scene with animals; and an indoor Neapolitan-style Nativity scene with over 40 moving statues, located to the right of the main altar, are just some of the Christmas attractions which surround visitors with a festive ambience.
