In American Czestochowa we present the collections entrusted to us by pilgrims coming to this Sanctuary. Our vocation is not limited to cultivating only spiritual goods, but also treasures of national culture and memory of our great countrymen. On December 10, 1905, Henryk Sienkiewicz, has received the Nobel Prize. He had a great devotion to the Mother of God, Our Lady of Czestochowa. During his life he has also made pilgrimages to the Jasna Gora Shrine in Czestochowa, Poland. Sienkiewicz has received the Nobel Prize for lifetime achievement, including outstanding achievements in the field of epic and “a rare genius who embodied the spirit of the nation”.
