La Posada

La Posada at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Posada is a tradition popular in Mexico and also present in some Latin America countries before Christmas. It is about re-enacting Mary’s and Joseph’s search for a lodging in Bethlehem. During these nine days before the Nativity, Las Posadas take place every night at a different place, visiting various houses and places. Retreat for Pauline Fathers & Brothers

Every year Pauline Fathers & Brothers participate in their monastic retreat. Our American Province is usually divided into two groups of participants. This year the first group of Paulines had their retreat in Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, NJ. The second group of Pauline Fathers & Brothers of the American Province participated in their monastic retreat at our Monastery in Doylestown, PA at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. The retreat master was Fr. Day of Prayer for the Faithful Departed

On Sunday, November 3rd, at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA, we have celebrated All Souls Day, by praying for all our faithful departed, especially those buried at our cemetery.
