Elevate - Relevant Radio National Conference

Pope Francis blessed the Crowns for the Icon Our Lady of Czestochowa

On June 12th, Pope Francis blessed the Crowns for our Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa for the Blessed Virgin Mary and for the Infant Jesus. Fr. Be Not Afraid! Family Vocation Day

Family Vocation Day took place at our Shrine on Saturday, June 15. It was a wonderful day of discernment, prayer, and fellowship. The theme of this event were the inspiring words of St. John Paul II: “Be Not Afraid”. The Pope has been a great inspiration in his life and teaching on how to invite Jesus Christ into our lives. International Day at American Czestochowa

On Sunday May 19th, a Second Annual International Day took place at our Shrine. It was a wonderful celebration of different cultures and nationalities. There were many representatives from different countries that participated in this event. Everyone prayed together during 11:00 AM Mass, and afterwards there was a display of each national culture in the Cafeteria. Thank you for participating! Divine Mercy Sunday

Divine Mercy Sunday at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Most Rev. Stanislaw Dziuba, Bishop of Umzimkulu Diocese from South Africa, was the main celebrant. After the Mass there was an Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament and the devotion to the Divine Mercy. Our Lady of Czestochowa Choir sung the Chaplet in few different languages. The Bishop ended the devotion with the Act of Consecration of the World to the Divine Mercy, which was originally said by St. John Paul II at the Divine Mercy Shrine in Krakow-Lagiewniki.  ......

Easter Triduum at the Shrine

The Paschal Triduum are the most important days of the liturgical year in the Church. During this time, Christians are experiencing the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Holy Thursday is a day when we give thanks to God for the gift of priesthood and the Eucharist. In the morning, the Pauline Fathers attended the Chrism Mass in Philadelphia, celebrated by the clergy of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, led by Archbishop Charles Chaput. Pilgrimage to Washington D.C.

Our Shrine’s Lector group has organized a trip to Washington D.C. on Saturday, April 27th. Our group first visited the National Shrine of Saint John Paul II, where we celebrated Holy Mass in the Redemptor Homini Church with Fr. Marcin Ćwierz as the main celebrant and Fr. Timothy Tarnacki as the homilist. At the Shrine we have also venerated the relics of Saint John Paul II at the Luminous Mysteries Chapel.
