Styka Art Exhibit

For the 40th time Adam Styka Art Exhibit & Sale has taken place at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. The opening preview and reception has taken place on August 26, 2018. For the past few weeks those who are interested in art were able to admire many beautiful paintings and meet the artists behind them. Adam Styka, the inspiration behind the exhibit, was a Polish painter who came from an artistic family (his father, Jan Styka, was one of the authors of Raclawice Panorama, and his brother Tadeusz Styka, was also a painter). Some of the paintings of the Styka family hang at the Pauline Fathers Monastery and at the Museum of the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. Adam Styka rests in a place of honor at the Shrine cemetery, in the Avenue of Heroes. The Art Exhibit and Sale is conducted by the Polish Heritage Society of Philadelphia in cooperation with the Pauline Fathers of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Marie Hejnosz was Director of the Exhibit. This exhibition also took place concurrently with the Annual Polish-American Festival at the Shrine grounds.
